Seville Estate was founded in 1972, when Dr. Peter McMahon first pressed his shovel into our red volcanic soils to plant Shiraz. Since then, we have continued to be a champion of the Upper Yarra Valley with a range of cool climate varietally expressive wines crafted from 100% estate grown fruit.
Tucked away just one hour east of Melbourne, our cellar door is set amongst a stunning native garden and open seven days for tastings. For a truly indulgent culinary adventure, our restaurant offers a seasonal tasting menu prepared by Chef Patron James Cornwall. We also have accommodation available to extend your stay. VOLCANIC SOILS
A legacy of vines that spans more than five decades. An isolated corner in the elevated reaches of the Upper Yarra Valley. A pioneer of the district, a unique micro-climate, ancient volcanic soils. Our wines are a confluence of history, effort and chance.
In the vineyard, we move with the seasons. From budburst to harvest, our dry-grown vines are nurtured and steered to maturity. Our little pocket of the Yarra Valley is incredibly unique – we work tirelessly to capture its essence in each individual berry.
In the winery, we do very little to imprint our influence. Grapes are pressed and guided to their full potential – slow and gentle at every corner. Each release retains a sense of time and place, showcasing the nuance of the season and the magic of our site with clarity and elegance.
